Ms. Inthaving Phoyphailin

Profile: Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business Management (FEBM), National University of Laos (NUOL). In 2024, she participated in a six-month exchange program at the Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies, Kobe University, before completing her Master’s degree at the FEBM, NUOL in 2025.

Q1: What do you do in your current role?
I am responsible for teaching bachelor degree subjects, including general accounting, management accounting, import-export, English for accounting, and statistics. My role also includes curriculum development, academic advising, and administration in the accounting department. In addition, I am involved in academic research, student mentoring, and participate in international academic cooperation programmes.

Q2: What has been the most memorable experience in your current work?
One of my most memorable achievements is teaching students in English and accounting, and seeing their confidence improve over time. Participating in international programmes has also strengthened my academic perspective and professional network.

Q3: Why you wanted to pursue this career?
I chose to become a lecturer because I believe education plays a vital role in developing human capital and shaping future leaders. I am passionate about helping students gain knowledge, skills, and confidence for their professional lives.

Q4: What has been your most memorable experience in the CAMPUS Asia Plus Program?
The CAMPUS Asia Plus Program provided me with valuable exposure to international education systems, cultural exchange, and collaborative learning with students and professors from different countries.

Q5: How learning from the CAMPUS Asia Plus Program has benefited your current work?
Participation in the CAMPUS Asia Plus Program has greatly benefited both my current professional work and my Master’s degree studies. The programme strengthened my academic skills in research, critical thinking, and analytical writing, which are essential for graduate-level study.
The curriculum closely aligns with my field, particularly in areas such as regional cooperation, economic development, risk management, and policy analysis. The knowledge gained has helped me better understand course content and apply theories effectively in assignments and thesis preparation.
In addition, practical activities such as fieldwork and collaborative projects enhanced my problem-solving, communication, and cross-cultural teamwork skills. Studying in an international environment also improved my English proficiency and cultural awareness. Overall, the CAMPUS Asia Plus Program has played a key role in supporting my academic success and professional development.

Please share a brief message for current students and juniors.
I encourage all students to take every opportunity to learn beyond the classroom. Participate in international programmes, stay curious, and never be afraid to challenge yourself. These experiences will shape both your academic and personal growth.
