GNP Hosted Global Network Seminar “Further Reflections on Kobe University's Global Network Program”
On March 11, 2025, the Global Network Seminar was held, and the seminar welcomed Dr. Mioko Saito, International Consultant and former Head of Training at the UNESCO International Institute for Educational Planning (UNESCO IIEP).
Under the theme “Further Reflections on Kobe University's Global Network Program,” Dr. Saito discussed how the Global Network Program (GNP) could be further developed, building on the discussions and insights from the Kick-off Symposium.
The seminar focused on how networks with overseas universities, international organizations, and government organizations could be effectively connected to students’ education, research, and career development. In particular, Dr. Saito emphasized the importance of establishing concrete indicators aligned with the objectives of the program in order to systematically monitor and evaluate its progress and outcomes. She also highlighted the need to use evaluation results to continuously improve the program and its activities.
Following the lecture, a Q&A session was held with participants, featuring an exchange of views on the future development of the GNP, the establishment of appropriate indicators, and approaches to program evaluation. The seminar provided a valuable opportunity to further reflect on the direction of the GNP following the Kick-off Symposium and to consider how the program could be continuously improved through the systematic monitoring and evaluation of its progress and outcomes.
