GNP Hosted "Career Seminar at the Inter-American Development Bank Group"


On September 1, 2026, Global Network Program (GNP) hosted the “Career Seminar at the Inter-American Development Bank Group” online.

The seminar featured Ms. Kayanna Parson, Senior Human Resources Associate at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and Mr. Bruno Miguel Taborga, Global Talent Partnerships Associate at the IDB, as speakers.

During the seminar, Ms. Kayanna provided an overview of the IDB and explained its role as an international development finance institution supporting economic and social development in Latin America and the Caribbean. She also introduced the IDB’s major areas of work, the expertise required in different fields, and the diverse career opportunities available within international organizations. In addition, Mr. Bruno provided detailed information about internship opportunities for students, including an overview of the internship program, eligibility requirements, application procedures, and the selection process. The session provided valuable practical information for students interested in pursuing an internship at the IDB.

A total of 39 students and faculty members participated in the online seminar. During the Q&A session, participants asked questions about the specific procedures for applying for IDB internships, eligibility requirements, required application documents and preparation, and the selection process. The speakers provided detailed explanations and practical advice in response to these questions. The seminar offered participants a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of the IDB and its activities and to learn about career opportunities in international organizations, particularly internships, as well as the practical steps required to prepare for and apply for such opportunities.
