Interdisciplinary Curriculum

A new interdisciplinary curriculum has been established that brings together the global perspective, a strength of the Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies, with the regional, individual, and technological perspectives, strengths of the Graduate School of Intercultural Studies, with the aim of addressing global challenges and contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.

Students are required to: (1) complete the compulsory course “Value Co-creation for Sustainable Development,” and (2) complete at least two courses from different disciplines from among the 37 courses related to “Achieving Sustainable Development and Creating New Value” (17 courses offered by the Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies and 20 courses offered by the Graduate School of Intercultural Studies).
