・Professor Theodore Christakis, University of Grenoble, is a visiting professor from April 2012. He conducts a course on international and European human rights law within "Special Lectures on International Cooperation Law" (GSICS) during his stay.

・Associate Professor Karine Bannelier, University of Grenoble, gave a presentation 『The International Law Commission and Protection of the Environment in Times of Armed Conflict:A Possibility of Adjudication?』 at GSICS on April 12.

・"International Environmental Lawmaking in the First Decade of the Twenty-First Century: The Form and Process" by Akiho Shibata is published in Japanese Yearbook of International Law, Vol. 54 (2011), pp.28-61 (February 2012).

・Professor Shigeki Sakamoto has written "Challenges to a Human Rights Mechanism in the Asia-Pacific Region: the experience of the Universal Periodic Review of the UN Human Rights Council." in H. Nasu and B.Saul (eds.), Human Rights in  the Asia-Pacific Region: Towards institution building (Routledge, 2011).

・Associate Professor Mika Hayashi presented a joint paper (with Dr. Chris Michaelsen) on "Arms Control and International Norm Development: Is there a Role for Civil Society?" in the Eighth ASLI Conference (Fukuoka, 26-27 May 2011).
