• Graduated from Doctor course of Kyoto University [Astrophysics] in 1970.
• Degree: Doctor of Science [in Physics].
• Research Associate at Department of Aeronautical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Kyoto University [1970-1973].
• Associate Professor at Department of Aeronautical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Kyoto University [1973-1992].
  • Visiting Professor at Department of Applied Mathematics and Astronomy, University College Cardiff [Cardiff, UK][1975-1977].
  • Visiting Fellow at European Southern Observatory [Geneva, Switzerland][1977]
• Professor of Astrophysics at Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Faculty of Science, Kobe University [1992-present].
